1. What are the ready for sale items? Some of these items were craf­ted for a spe­cif­ic event, such as an art show or com­pet­i­tion; oth­ers were born purely out of the artist's ima­gin­a­tion, his de­sire to cre­ate something new, his urge to ex­per­i­ment with new ma­ter­i­als, tools, and tech­niques, and the need to con­tinu­ously mas­ter his skills.

2. How to pur­chase a ready for sale item? If you wish to pur­chase one of the ready for sale items, just press the Ask Ques­tion but­ton and let us know that you are ready to make a pur­chase. We will gladly walk you through our or­der­ing pro­ced­ure. The item will be shipped to you with­in 48 hours after the pay­ment clears.

3. How to place an or­der? If you wish to or­der one of the items from our gal­lery, simply con­tact us and we will walk you through our or­der­ing pro­ced­ure. You can con­tact us us­ing any con­tact meth­od of your choice - the con­tact form, Ask Ques­tion but­ton, e-mail, phone, or reg­u­lar mail. We will pre­pare and send you the or­der form with or­der de­tails and terms, and and in­voice. We will ask you to re­view your or­der, ac­cept our terms, and send it back to us, as well as pay the in­voice amount in full. When we re­ceive your signed or­der form and the full pay­ment, we will put your or­der in pro­gress.

4. How to cus­tom­ize an or­der? Please con­tact us if you wish to place a cus­tom or­der. We will dis­cuss the de­sired para­met­ers of your piece. If your or­der in­volves design cus­tom­iz­a­tion or if we are about to use your own design, we will pre­pare a sketch with sev­er­al design vari­ations for your ap­prov­al. Once we agree on the de­tails, we will pre­pare and send you the or­der form with or­der de­tails and terms, and and in­voice. We will ask you to re­view your or­der, ac­cept our terms, and send it back to us, as well as pay the in­voice amount in full. When we re­ceive your signed or­der form and the full pay­ment, we will put your or­der in pro­gress.

5. Is there a fee for cre­at­ing a cus­tom design? The de­vel­op­ment of the ini­tial design based on your spe­cific­a­tions is free. We usu­ally provide you with sev­er­al design vari­ations to look at. If you de­cide to choose one of the presen­ted designs, but will need some minor modi­fic­a­tions, we will still do it for free. If you did not like any of the presen­ted sketches, but still want us to design your en­grav­ing, we will charge $250 design fee (plus 5.5% sales tax for or­ders shipped in the State of Wis­con­sin) for each sub­sequent design. This money is non­re­fund­able, as it meant to cov­er the artist's labor and time, but when you place your or­der, this money will be coun­ted to­ward the pur­chase.

6. Can you craft an item us­ing my own gems? Usu­ally, our artists prefer us­ing their own gems. Our artists proudly stand be­hind the qual­ity of their crafts­man­ship and use only top qual­ity ma­ter­i­als. Oc­ca­sion­ally, we re­ceive re­quests from our cus­tom­ers to in­cor­por­ate their own gems in the ordered jew­elry or fine art piece. We un­der­stand that in many cases these gems have a sen­ti­ment­al value, but their con­di­tion, shape, cut, or pol­ish of­ten makes it very hard or even im­possible for us to use them. In gen­er­al, we do not ac­cept any small gems (0.2 ct or less). However, we might use your own cent­ral gem or some rare unique stone. In any case, if you wish us to use your own gems, please ask first. All cus­tom­er's gems shipped to us must be re­moved from the old gem set­tings; we do not cut old jew­elry to re­move gems.

7. Can you craft an item us­ing my own ma­ter­i­als? We do not ac­cept scrap gold or any oth­er metals from old jew­elry. All metals used in Fine Arts Boutique jew­elry and fine art pro­duc­tion are ac­quired by our artists and have to match our high qual­ity stand­ards. On the oth­er hand, if you pos­sess a rare or­gan­ic ma­ter­i­al of a unique shape or col­or, for ex­ample a piece of ebony wood you wish to use as a handle for your cus­tom craf­ted knife, just let us know and we will see if that would be pos­sible.

8. How long does it usu­ally take to craft an item? The time it takes to craft an item var­ies with re­spect to design com­plex­ity and artist’s cur­rent avail­ab­il­ity. We usu­ally re­serve three weeks for jew­elry en­grav­ing; time frames for fine art, cus­tom craf­ted knives, and weaponry en­grav­ings are provided for each or­der in­di­vidu­ally. Your or­der will be put in­to pro­gress as soon as the pay­ment clears. You will re­ceive fre­quent or­der status no­ti­fic­a­tions un­til the item is ready and shipped to you. If you cre­ated a user ac­count at our web­site, you will be able to mon­it­or the pro­gress of your or­der and will re­ceive status up­dates. You are also wel­come to con­tact us at any time and in­quire about your or­der status. Your ready item will be shipped to you with­in 48 hours after be­ing ready.

9. What would I re­ceive with my or­der? Each item ordered from the Fine Arts Boutique comes with its lim­ited war­ranty cer­ti­fic­ate, its au­then­ti­city cer­ti­fic­ate, and a care guide. The item it­self is al­ways packed in a nice box which can be used for the item's stor­age and trans­port­a­tion. Our com­pany is very ded­ic­ated to pre­serving nat­ur­al re­sources, and our goal is even­tu­ally go com­pletely pa­per­less. This is why we ship cop­ies of your or­der and re­ceipt along with your or­der only when you spe­cify so; oth­er­wise, we e-mail these doc­u­ments to you.
